Cave Peak Rock Arch Loop
The route starts in Kalk Bay or Clovelly, ascending to the saddle between the two suburbs. From the saddle, turn towards Cave Peak and walk upward to the base of the cliffs. At the foot of the cliffs, traverse left for a few hundred metres to a wide cleft in the rock face, which is ascended by a short, steep but straightforward scramble, including a simple root-assisted pull-up at the top. Above the cleft, continue in the same direction along the upper slopes of Cave Peak. The route then curves back along the upper Cave Peak traverse, passing the Fish Hoek–side entrance of Boomslang Cave without entering. Continue by turning left towards Echo Valley, briefly joining the main path descending towards Kalk Bay. After a short descent, leave the main path and climb back up towards the front face of Cave Peak.
